Montgomery Center for Family Medicine
The Montgomery Center for Family Medicine is the clinical facility which houses the residency training program and is conveniently located across the street from Self Regional Medical Center.
It includes 30 exam rooms with four nurse’s stations, three minor surgery rooms, a CenteringPregnancy room, laboratory and X-ray suites, an exercise stress lab, administrative offices, sports medicine center, residents’ lounge and offices, conference and lecture rooms.
It also includes creature comforts of home: a full kitchen; male and female locker rooms and showers; and a scenic rooftop patio.
Self Regional Medical Center is a 420-bed not-for-profit community facility designated as a 403(b) organization. A diverse population of 200,000 makes up its referral base across the seven-county base. The hospital campus is directly across the street from the Montgomery Center.
The major surgical and medical specialties are well represented, with many of the 180 physicians on staff directly involved in resident training.
The hospital features a Level II trauma center in the Emergency Care Center; Intensive and Cardiac Care Units; a family-oriented Birthing Center; Level III Neonatal Intensive Care; a Behavioral Health Unit; and a MUSC-affiliated Cancer Center.
